AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3.54A AND 5.1
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE AS THEY PERTAIN TO THE USE OF YARDS
FOR PRINCIPLE STRUCTURES TO PERMIT A SCREENED PORCH FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1823 MARYLAND DRIVE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (SCUMACCI)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law considered the question of grant-
ing a variation of Sections 3.54A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance
as they pertain to structures within the required rear yard to
permit a screened porch that would encroach in the required rear
yard on property located at 1823 Maryland Drive, and legally des-
cribed hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having
considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board
of Appeals find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so
as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections
3.54A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to the use
of yards for principle structures within the required rear yard
to permit the construction of a screened porch that would encroach
two (2') feet nine (9") inches into the required twenty (20') foot
rear yard on property located at 1823 Maryland Drive, and legally
described as follows:
Lot 9 Plat of Resubdivision No. 5 for a Portion of Win-
ston Grove Section 23B being a Subdivision of Part of
Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
