AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 5. CHAPTER 5, SECTION 5-5-1,
FIRE AND AMBULANCE SERVICE OUTSIDE VILLAGE, OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, BY PROVIDING AN
INCREASE IN THE RATES FOR CONTRACTED SERVICES AND
NON -CONTRACT PER CALL AND BY DELETING SECTION 5 -5 -1B -2a,
TRAILER, HOMES, FROM THE CURRENT RATE STRUCTURE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 5, Section 5-5-1B-1, Noncontract,
Per Call Rate, of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
as it pertains to rates charged to those individuals who have not
previously contracted for fire and ambulance services, be amended to
read as follows:
1. Noncontract, Per -Call Rate: The following rates shall be
charged to those individuals who have not previously
contracted for fire and ambulance service:
Ambulance - $130.00 per call
Vehicles containing fire fighting apparatus, exclusive of
automobiles - $260.00 per vehicle per call.
Section 2: That Chapter 5, Section 5-5-1B, Subsection 2a,
Rates or ontracted Service, of the Village Code of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, as it pertains to Trailer Homes be deleted in its
entirety from the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
that the remainder subsections be relettered and amended to read as
follows:
a. Home Owner Associations and Fire District Areas: The
rate for fire and ambulance service for homeowners
associations and fire district areas shall be
one -hundred dollars ($100.00) per year per home.
b. Individual Homeowners: The rate for individual
homeowners for fire and ambulance service shall be
one -hundred dollars ($100.00) per year.
C. Commercial and Industrial Structures: The rate for fire
and ambulance service for commercial or industrial
structures shall be one -hundred fifteen dollars,
($115.00) per major or principal structure as determined
by the Fire Chief.
