HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2387 - 8/23/1994 - REFERENDUM, GENERAL ADVISORYORDINANCE NO. 2387 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A GENERAL ADVISORY REFERENDUM REGARDING SPENDING DECISIONS ON COMMUNITY SERVICES NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1: That a general advisory referendum shall be held on Tuesday, November 8, 1994 in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Illinois Election Code, 10 ILCS 5/28-1 et seq. for the purpose of submitting the following advisory public question to the legal voters of the Village of Elk Grove Village: Should the Village of Elk Grove Village's spending decisions on community services such as fire fighting, police, paramedic, snow removal and neighborhood crime prevention be made by your locally elected Village of Elk Grove Village Board of Trustees rather than by the State legislature in Springfield? YES NO Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to file this ordinance with the Election Department of the Cook County Clerk's Office no later than September 7, 1994. Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form.
