AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 6-4-5-4:B
(FIRE LANES) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE BY ADDING DESIGNATED FIRE LANES FOR THE ELK GROVE
VILLAGE VFW POST 9284 - (400 E. DEVON AVENUE)
WHEREAS, George P. Wade, a Board member of the Elk Grove Village VFW
Post 9284, located at 400 E. Devon Avenue (commonly known as Elk Grove
Veterans Club), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has requested of the Village of
Elk Grove Village in writing, that certain areas within their property be
designated as fire lanes. A copy of said requests being attached hereto and
incorporated herein as exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois.
Section 1: That Section 6-4-5-4:B, Fire Lanes Designated, of the
Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following:
Elk Grove Village VFW Post 9284, 400 E. Devon Avenue:
All areas designated as "Fire Lanes" on a map entitled, "Elk
Grove Village VFW Post 9284", which map is hereby incorporated
by reference as a part of Ordinance No. 2302
Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above signs
are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said signs
subject to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of
Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any
provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than
twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and no more than five hundred dollars ($500.00)
for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish
this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication according to law.
