HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2308 - 6/22/1993 - ZONING VARIATION, 646 SCHOONER LNORDINANCE NO. 2308 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3.54A AND 5.1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIREPLACE WHICH WOULD INFRINGE ONE FOOT EIGHT INCHES (1'8") INTO THE REQUIRED EIGHT FOOT SIDE YARD AREA ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 646 SCHOONER LANE, ELIC GROVE VILLAGE (TAU) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of granting a variation of Sections 3.54A and 5.1 of the Zoning Or- dinance as they pertain to required side yards in residential zoned districts; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village after considered the findings and recommenda- tion of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that suffi- cient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said varia- tion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3.54A and Section 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to required side yards to permit the construction of a fireplace which would be located one foot eight inches (1'8") into the required eight (8') foot side yard area on property located at 646 Schooner Lane and legally described as follows: Lot 140 in Stape's Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 35, Town- ship 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
