AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO PERMIT THE
OPERATION OF A FAST FOOD DOUBLE DRIVE-THRU RESTAURANT IN
AN INDUSTRIAL ZONED DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF OAKTON STREET AND BUSSE ROAD
ELK GROVE VILLAGE (CHECKERS RESTAURANT)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Vil-
lage, acting as a Zoning Commission, held a public hearing, duly
called and held according to law to consider the question of grant-
ing a Special Use Permit to permit the operation of a Fast Food
Double Drive-Thru Restaurant in an Industrial Zoned area for pro-
perty located at the Southwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse
Road, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having considered the finding and re-
commendation of said Plan Commission find and believe it to be
in the best interest of the Village to grant the Special Use Per-
mit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to
Sixpence Inn of Elk Grove Village, Owner of Record, to permit the
construction and operation of Fast Food Double Drive-Thru Restau-
rant, in an Industrial Zoned District, on property located at the
Southwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse Road and legally des-
cribed as follows:
Lot 2 in Sixpence Inn Subdivision Unit 2, being a
Resubdivision of Lot 162 in Higgins Industrial Park
Unit 112 of Lots 1 and 2 in Sixpence Inn Subdivi-
sion, being a Resubdivision of Lot 161 in said Hig-
gins Industrial Park Unit 112, being a Subdivision
in the Northeast ; of Section 27, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That the Restaurant shall be constructed in ac-
cordance with the Site Plan prepared by William K. Olson & Assoc.
dated June 17, 1993, three copies of which are on file in the
Office of the Village Clerk.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
