AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 5.23 G.2.(a)
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT A SOLID FENCE WITHIN
TEN (10') FEET OF THE SIDE PROPERTY LINE ON PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1300 CARLISLE AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (OSTMAN)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law considered the question of granting
a variation of Section 5.23 G.2.(a) to permit the construction of
a solid fence within ten (10') feet of the side property line on
property located at 1300 Carlisle Avenue and legally described
hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having reviewed the recommendation of
said Zoning Board of Appeals, which recommendation was to deny
the variation, are of the opinion that sufficient hardship does
exist so as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section l: That there be granted a variation of Section
5.23 G.2.(a) of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a solid fence which
would encroach approximately seven (7') feet into the required
ten (10') foot setback between the front edge of the house and
the rear property line on property located at 1300 Carlisle Ave-
nue and legally described as follows:
Lot 3547 in Elk Grove Village Section 12, being a
Subdivision in Sections 32 and 33, Township 41
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian, in Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0
