AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3.54A AND 5.1
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
FIREPLACE CHASE THAT WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 1.5 FEET
INTO THE REQUIRED EIGHT (8') FOOT SIDE YARD ON PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 916 DAVID LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (CONNOR)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law considered the question of grant-
ing a variation of Sections 3.54A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance
as they pertain to the use of yards for structures to permit the
construction of a fireplace chase that would encroach approximately
1.5 feet into the required eight (8') foot side yard on property
located at 916 David Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described
hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having re-
viewed the recommendation and findings of said Zoning Board of Ap-
peals find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to
justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections
3.54A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance, as they pertain to the use
of yards for structures, to permit the construction of a fireplace
chase that would encroach approximately 1.5 feet into the required
eight (S') foot side yard on property located at 916 David Lane,
Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows:
Lot 117 in Parkview Heights Subdivision, being a
Subdivision in the Northeast Quarter of Section 36,
Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
