AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO U S CELLULAR
TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF AN EQUIPMENT CABINET AND THE
MOUNTING OF A CELLULAR ANTENNAE ON AN EXISTING STORAGE
TANK ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2727 EAST HIGGINS ROAD ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
sitting as a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly called and held
according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to
U S Cellular to permit the installation of a wireless telecommunications facility on
property located at 2727 East Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan
Commission, find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village that said
Special Use Permit be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit for the installation
of an equipment cabinet and to mount a cellular antennae on an existing storage
tank on property located at 2727 East Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village.
Section 2: That in addition to the granting of the Special Use Permit, and
in accordance with the recommendation of the Plan Commission, a variation is
granted to permit a height of 68' 1" and in addition a second variation to permit
an 8' high fence.
Section 3: That the Special Use Permit will be in full force and effect
while the storage tank on which it is located remains on the property and if said
tank is removed then the Special Use Permit granted herein will automatically
terminate.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
