AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO BUSINESS AND LICENSE REGULATIONS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 1 be amended by adding thereto Section
3-1-18, Exemptions From Provisions to the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village to read as follows:
3-1-18 Exemptions From Provisions:
The terms and provisions of this Title shall
not be made applicable to a building or premises or
portion thereof, the principal use of which is for the
practice of medicine or dentistry or similar type of
medical professional personal services, the practice
of law, financial institution, the operation of general
office activities not involving retail sales or services
upon or to the persons visiting the premises or any
other business, the regulation of which is conducted
exclusively by the State of Illinois and where specific
preemption of home rule units of government from such
regulation has been duly enacted by statute.
Section 2: That subsection 3-6A-6, Exemptions From Provisions of the
Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is
hereby deleted.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish
this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
