AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIAL USE PERMIT
TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL A LOW
LEVEL WIND SHEAR SENSOR BEHIND PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1901 PRATT BOULEVARD. ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United
States Department of Transportation has advised the Village of
its desire to install a ninety (90) foot low level wind shear
sensor on property located at 1901 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove
Village; and
WHEREAS, the facility as installed will be utilized for the
measurement and reporting of airport wind shear which will facili-
tate air traffic and safety for O'Hare International Airport; and
WHEREAS, said use is not a Permitted Use as contemplated by
the Zoning Ordinance of the Village but would be a valid Special
Use which may be administratively issued to the Federal government
in the discretion of the President and Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find and believe
it to be in the best interest of the Village that such Administra-
tive Special Use Permit be issued.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be issued an Administrative Special
Use Permit to the Federal Aviation Administration of the United
States Department of Transportation to permit the installation of
a ninety (90) foot low level wind shear sensor tower on property
located behind 1901 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove Village.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.

PASSED this 8th day of September 1992.
