Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 12, 2021, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Land Acquisition.

The Village has closed on the purchase of the property at 1550 Higgins. Letters have been sent to
tenants with current leases offering a buy-out. Several of the tenants have already called to
accept the offer, including some of the longest leases.
During this afternoon's meeting with Brennan, Mayor Johnson brought up the possibility of
acquiring the former Regent property adjacent to 1550 Higgins, which is now owned by Brennan
Investment Group. This would provide a large block of land for the Village to use for a future
redevelopment agreement.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:23 pm.
