Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 26, 2021, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Personnel.

Mayor Johnson discussed attendance records for the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of
Appeals. Mayor Johnson has sent letters to Sam Jameel, Rich Romanski, and Christine Kelly
about their poor attendance over the past year. Rich Romanski contacted the Mayor to explain
his absences and commit to attending in the future. Christine Kelly explained that her business
had been extremely busy and that she does not foresee that change. She tendered her resignation,
and there is now a vacancy on the ZBA.
Mayor Johnson reviewed the applications on file in the Clerk's office for service on a volunteer
committee. He typically offers positions to applicants in the order they apply, provided they are
qualified. Mayor Johnson reached out to Tony Damptz who confirmed that he is interested in
serving on the ZBA. Mayor Johnson recommended appointing Tony to the ZBA. The consensus
of the Board was to move forward with the appointment. Mayor Johnson will swear in Tony
Damptz at the next Board Meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm.
