Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 9, 2021, this Executive Session was called
to consider review of Personnel.

The Personnel Committee received a written report summarizing the recent Employee
Communication Procedure by an employee in Community Development. This report was
provided for informational purposes only, per the existing policy. The Board discussed that this
policy originated when a former Board member had a relative as an employee, and that these are
not matters the Personnel Committee would take action on. The Employee Communication
Procedure is very rarely used, and is only available to non -union employees. Union employees
have their own grievance procedures per their contracts. The consensus of the Board was to
update the policy removing the Personnel Committee from this process.
