Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on April 13, 2021, this Executive Session was called
to consider review of Land Disposition.

The Village is working with a hotel developer on the former Motel 6 property on Oakton, which
would provide for the developer to acquire the land from the Village at no cost in order to
construct a Tru by Hilton hotel on the site. Additionally, the developer has expressed interest in
building a restaurant, if they are able to acquire the front lot areas from the Good Year. Mayor
Johnson noted that if they are able to acquire the land, the Village would also offer a motel/hotel
tax rebate to support the construction of a restaurant.
The consensus of the Board was to direct Village staff to send a letter of intent to the developer
for the development of a Tru by Hilton at the former Motel 6 site.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:39 pm.
