Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Mayor and Board of Trustees on April 27, 2021, this Executive Session was called to
consider review of Land Acquisition.

The Village has offered $3.5 million to purchase the Days Inn, but has not received a counter
offer. The property owner has indicated he may have interest from another buyer.
Enforcement of code violations for health and safety violations is underway, and the Days Inn
has met the enforcement requirement for the first 60 days. There are other more expensive
requirements, such as installing a sprinkler system, with which the Days Inn has 2 years to
comply. The Village Attorney advised that health violations, such as bug infestations, etc, would
have been included in the violations within the first 60 days, and have been remediated. Mayor
Johnson requested an update from the Village's inspectors on the remediation.
