AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12.003 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
(PERMITTED SIGNS) BY ADDING THERETO SIGN REGULATIONS FOR
THE OFFICE PARK CONDITIONAL USE DISTRICT
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 12.003 Permitted Signs of the Munici-
pal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
D. OFFICE PARK CONDITIONAL USE DISTRICT. In the Office
Park Conditional Use District the following signs
shall be permitted to be erected under the conditions
specified and none other:
i) Not more than three identification signs or
name signs identifying owner or occupant of
a building not to exceed 45 square feet in
area for each sign shall be permitted for all
permitted and special uses in the develop-
ment parcel.
ii) wall signs shall be permitted provided the
same do not exceed three square feet for each
lineal foot of building frontage or extend
above the facia or parapet line.
iii) Signs identifying the office park and promo-
tional signs shall be permitted to be located
at the ingress and/or egress locations to said
parcels and/or fronting on an interstate high-
way, no such sign shall exceed 350 square feet
in area.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of
the provisions or failing to comply with any provision of this
Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Twenty -Five
($25.00) Dollars nor more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for
each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on
each day during or on which a violation or failure to comply occurs
or continues to exist.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is authorized to publish
this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication ac-
cording to law.
