AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3.54 OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO STRUCTURES IN THE REQUIRED
REAR YARD TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DECK AND GAZEBO
IN THE REAR YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1880 MAINE DRIVE,
ELK GROVE VILLAGE (TOFILAN)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a public meeting called and held according to
law considered the question of granting a variation of Section
3.54 of the Zonin.; Ordinance to permit a deck and gazebo which
would infringe ten (10') feet into the required twenty (20) foot
rear yard on property located at 1880 Maine Drive and legally
described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation
of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that sufficient
hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section
3.54 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to structures in the
required rear yard to permit the construction of a deck and gazebo
which will infringe ten (10') feet into the required twenty (201)
foot rear yard on property located at 1880 Maine Drive and legally
described as follows:
Lot 82 Plat of Resubdivision No. 5 for a portion
of Winston Grove Section 23B being Subdivision of
part of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 10,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
