AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1772 (WHICH AMENDED
ORDINANCE NO. 1395, 1418, and 1740) BY EXTENDING THE
TIME OF THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT PREVIOUSLY GRANTED TO THE
NORTHERN ILLINOIS DISTRICT OF THE LUTHERAN CHURCH
MISSOURI SYNOD (ASCENSION LUTHERAN CHURCH)
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk
Grove Village pursuant to Ordinance Nos. 1395, 1418, 1740 and 1772
granted a special use permit to the Northern Illinois District of the
Lutheran Church - Missouri synod for the operation of two (2) modular
units to be used as temporary church facilities; and
WHEREAS, the permittee has requested that said permit extend an
additional two (2) years due to time necessary to prepare plans for a
permanent building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the special use permit granted to Northern
Illinois District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod for a period
of ten (10) years (Ordinance Nos. 1395,1418,1740,and 1772) to permit
the placement of two (2) modular units to be used for temporary church
facilities be extended for an additional two (2) year period until June
1, 1993, on property located at 927 Glenn Trail and legally described
as follows:
Lot 5206 in Elk Grove Village Section 17, being a subdivision
in Sections 25 and 26, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2. That this special use permit extension is subject to
the same terms and conditions as set forth in Ordinance Nos. 1395,
1418, 1740 and 1772 except that this permit shall automatically expire
on June 1, 1993.
Section 3. That the Village Clerk is authorized to publish this
ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
