AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE MERGER BETWEEN AMERICAN TAXI
DISPATCH INC. AND ELK GROVE TAXI AND GRANTING A CERTIFICATE
OF AUTHORITY TO AMERICAN TAXI DISPATCH INC., AS MERGED, FOR
THE OPERATION OF TWENTY-EIGHT (28) LICENSED TAXICABS IN
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a Public Vehicle Commission, con-
sidered the Petition of American Taxi Dispatch Inc. and the Elk
Grove Taxi Company to approve a merger between the two companies
and their request for the issuance of a Certificate of Authority
authorizing twenty-eight (28) licensed taxicabs to operate within
the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Public Vehicle Commission, having heard evidence
and testimony with respect to the merger and the ability of the
companies as merged to operate twenty-eight (28) taxicabs within
the Village, find and believe it to be in the best interest of
the Village to approve the merger and issue a Certificate of Au-
thority as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the merger between American Taxi Dispatch
Inc. and Elk Grove Taxi be and the same is hereby approved.
Section 2: That a new Certificate of Authority be issued to
American Taxi Dispatch Inc., as mergered with Elk Grove Taxi, said
Certificate to permit the operation of twenty-eight (28) licensed
taxicabs within the Village of Elk Grove Village subject to compli-
ance with all applicable Village Codes and licensing regulations
as set forth in Chapter 18, Section 4201 et seq. of the Elk Grove
Village Municipal Code.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and ef-
fect from and after its passage and approval according to law.

PASSED this 27th day of August 1991.
