AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3.54 A AND SECTION 5.1
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
FIREPLACE IN THE SIDE YARD AREA ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1304 BRADLEY LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (REED)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held according
to law considered the question of granting a variation of Section
3.54 A and Section 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to
the use of yards for structures to permit the construction of a
fireplace which would infringe one (1) foot eight (8) inches into
the required eight (8) foot side yard area on property located at
1304 Bradley Lane and legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, after having
reviewed the recommendation and findings of said Zoning Board of
Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as
to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections
3.54 A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the use of
yards for structures to permit the construction of a fireplace
which will infringe one (1) foot eight (8) inches into the required
eight (8) foot side yard area on property located at 1304 Bradley
Lane and legally described as follows:
Lot 18 in Block Two in Elk Grove Village Section 19
being a Subdivision in Section 36, Township 41 North,
Range 10, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
