HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2122 - 8/14/1990 - SIGNS & AWNINGSORDINANCE NO. 2122 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, SIGNS AND AWNINGS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AS IT PERTAINS TO PERMITTED SIGNS IN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 12.003C, Signs in Industrial Districts, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: 8. Monument signs subject to the following conditions: (a) Monument signs shall not exceed six (6) feet in height from the ground to the top of the sign and shall not exceed thirty-nine (39) square feet in area for single -faced signs nor seventy-eight (78) square feet in area for multifaced signs, and shall not exceed ten (10) feet in width. (b) Observe a setback of five (5) feet from any portion of any street or road right-of-way line and placed not closer than ten (10) feet from any side property line. Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. VOTES: AYES: 5 PASSED this APPROVED this ATTEST: Patricia S.
