AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE TO ALEXIAN BROTHERS MEDICAL CENTER, INC.
TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING STRUCTURE ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 800 BIESTERFIELD ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held according
to law considered the question of granting variations of several
sections of the Zoning ordinance pertaining to the construction
of the Southwest Parking Structure within the required twenty-
five (25') foot set back; and the dimensions and parking angle of
the parking space layout in the Southwest and East Parking Struc-
ture; and the temporary reduction in the size of the parking spaces
in the surface parking lots all on property located at 800 Biester-
field Road and legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having
reviewed the findings and recommendation of said Zoning Board of
Appeals find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as
warrant the granting of said variations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections
3.52, 3.54 A and 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a parking
structure to be constructed and operated twenty-one (21') feet
into the required twenty-five (25') foot set back line for the
portion of the property starting at a point 121 feet East of the
West property line and for a distance of 157.5 feet, and a varia-
tion ranging from 16.5 feet to 10 feet into the required twenty-
five (251) foot set back line starting at a point 121 feet North
of the South property line and extending for a distance of 157.5
feet.
Section 2: That there be granted a variation of Section
3.94 I of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the parking angle and
parking stall dimensions for the Southwest Parking Structure and
the East Parking Structure located at 800 Biesterfield to be oper-
ated and maintained in accordance with Exhibit G of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village.
Section 3: That a temporary variation be granted from Sec-
tion 3.94 I to permit the width of existing parking stalls of all
of the surface parking lots to be reduced from nine (9') feet to
eight (8') feet during the construction period.
Section 4: That the variations granted herein shall be for
property located at 800 Biesterfield Road, Elk Grove Village and
legally described as follows:
The South 1,119.04 feet, as measured along the West line
of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Sec-
tion 32, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian (except the South 264 feet of the East
165 feet thereof, and except the West 45.0 feet, as mea-
sured at right angles to the West line thereof and except
the South 60.0 feet, as measured at right angles to the
South line thereof), Cook County, Illinois, excepting there-
from the West 45 feet; as measured at right angles to the
West line thereof, of the South 1,119.04 feet as measured
along the West line thereof, and the South 60 feet, as mea-
sured at right angles to the South line thereof, except the
East 165 feet thereof, all of the Northwest quarter of the
Northwest quarter of Section 32, Township 41 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois.

Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
