AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES), SECTION 23.903
LANE DESIGNATIONS, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE FOR AVALON BANQUETS INC., 1905 E. HIGGINS ROAD
WHEREAS, Avalon Banquets Inc., being the owner of certain property
located at 1905 E. Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois has requested of
the Village in writing, the establishment of fire lanes on said property. A
copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 23.903, Lane Designations, of the Municipal
Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following:
DD. Avalon Banquets Inc., 1905 E. Higgins Road:
All areas designated as fire lanes on a site plan for the
"Avalon Banquet Hall", which site plan is incorporated by
reference as a part of Ordinance No. 2141
Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above signs
are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said signs
subject to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of
Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any
provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than
twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and no more than five hundred dollars ($500.00)
for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish
this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval:, and published according to law.
VOTES: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
