HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2154 - 5/14/1991 - POSITION CLASSIF & SALARY PLAN AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 2154 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4A, POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLANS; SECTIONS 4A.101 DEFINITION; 4A.203, THE CLASS- IFICATION PLAN; AND 4A.303 SALARY RANGE FOR MERIT PAY PLAN POSITIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Chapter 4A, Position Classification and Salary Plan, Sections 4A.101 Definition; 4A.203 The Classification Plan; and 4A.303 Salary Range or Merit Pay Plan Position; be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 4A.101 Definitior. Four Plans are hereby established to provide proper compensation for each job. These Plans are as follows: A. Merit Salary Plan for Executive, Administrative, Supervisory, Technical, and Professional employees; and B. Step Pay Plan for non -supervisory, non -unionized employees; and C. Step Pay Plan for non -supervisory, unionized police officers; and D. Specific Rate Pay Plan for School Crossing Guards, Custodian personnel, Part -Time Water Meter Readers, Summer Employees, Interns, and Public Works six (6) month temporary employees. 4A.203 The Classification Plan: The Schematic Outline of Occupational Titles, including a class code and quantitative job content value points for each class, together with the class specifications therefore, and the list of Authorized Positions by departments, shall constitute the Classification Plan, three copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk. All positions in each class shall be compensated in accordance with the Salary Plan as set forth in Article III. 4A.303 Salary Range for Merit Pay Plan Positions: Minimum Rate - 85% of Midpoint Maximum Rate - 115% of Midpoint + 4% Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of April 29, 1991, and upon its passage and approval according to law.
