HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2980 - 3/9/2004 - ZONING VARIATION/627 DELAWARE LNORDINANCE NO. 2980 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 7-1 AND THE "SCHEDULE OF BULK AND YARD REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS" OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROOM ADDITION WHICH WOULD RESULT IN A FLOOR AREA RATIO OF 0.48 (48%) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 627 DELAWARE LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (HAHN) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a remanded public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to floor area ratio to permit a room addition that would result in a floor area ratio of 0. 48, a variation representing a 20% increase in the 0.40 requirement in the R-3 Single Family Residence Zoning District, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having reviewed the recommendation and findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 7-1 and the "Schedule of Bulk and Yard Requirements and Regulations" of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to floor area ratio to permit the construction of a two-story room addition that would result in a floor area ratio of 0.48 (48%) for property located at 627 Delaware Lane, Elk Grove Village and identified by the following property identification number 07-26-400-111-0000. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 4 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 2 PASSED this 9th day of March 2004.
