HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2062 - 8/22/1989 - SUBDIVISIONS, AMENDEDNO. 2062 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8_008 OF CHAPTER 8 SUBDIVISIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY PROVIDING FOR NEW REGULATIONS CONCERNING DEVELOPMENT IN SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 8.008 Suitability of Land for Subdi- viding of Chapter 8 Subdivisions of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read to as follows: 8.008 - Regulating Development in Special Flood Hazard Areas. The development of lands subject to flooding or which is otherwise deemed to be included in a Federal or a State flood way, flood plain or flood fringe area shall be in accordance with Ordinance No.2061 , an ordi- nance Regulating Development in Special Flood Hazard Areas, passed and approved by the Pre- sident and the Board of Trustees of the Village on the 22nd day of August , 1989, three copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk. Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provisions of the Village's Ordinance concerning and regulating development in Special Flood Hazard Areas shall be subject to a penalty of not less than Fifty ($50.00) Dollars nor more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. In addition any violator shall be subject to such other penalties as are set forth in Section 1400 of Ordinance No. 2061 . Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication accor- ding to law. VOTES: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 APPROVED: Charles J.
