AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE VILLAGE
FROM B-1 BUSINESS DISTRICT (SHOPPING CENTER) TO
B-3 BUSINESS DISTRICT (AUTOMOTIVE) (SCHAEFFER'S AUTO, INC.)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law considered the question of rezoning certain property located
at 1100 E. Higgins Road from the B-1 Business District to the
B-3 Business District; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation
and findings of said Plan Commission find and believe it to be
in the best interest of the Village that the rezoning as requested
be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the following parcel of property located
at 1100 E. Higgins Road be and is hereby rezoned from the B-1
Business District (Shopping Center) to the B-3 Business District
(Automotive):
Lot 2 in W.C. Sass Subdivision in Elk Grove
Village, being a Subdivision of part of the
West half of Section 22, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian, in the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That the granting of the rezoning is subject
to the condition that the owner/occupant store vehicles on the
subject property away from the front of the building and clean
up and maintain the side yards of said property.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
amend the official map of the Village to incorporate the rezoning
as herein set forth.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
