AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18, SECTION 18.5906, EXEMPTIONS,
(PERTAINING TO THE REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Section 18.5906, Exemptions, of the Municipal
Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto Paragraph "C" to read as follows:
C. A processing fee in the amount of Ten ($10.00)
Dollars shall be collected by the Director of
Finance of the Village for Real Estate
Transfer stamps issued for transactions
determined to be exempt as provided for in
the above paragraphs "A" and "B". Upon
payment of the fee, the revenue stamp so
issued shall be marked "EXEMPT" and shall be
affixed to the deed or other instrument of
conveyance.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
