AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SALARIES FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT
PERSONNEL OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (Paramedics
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality
as authorized and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois
and as such, authorized to enact certain legislation pertaining to its
local government affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
in exercise of its Home Rule authority as follows:
Section 1: That Fire Department personnel, who are certified,
assigned and function as Paramedics, be awarded an additional allowance of
$1,545.00 annually for such certification and performance. This allowance
shall be an addition to their annual salaries or hourly rate.
Section 2: That the above paramedic allowance be allowed for
thirty-four (34) Fire Department employees.
Section 3: That the above thirty-four (34) allowances be reduced to
thirty (30) through attrition, voluntary or involuntary de -certification.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
