AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES), SECTION
23.903 LANE DESIGNATIONS, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (HOLIDAY INN, 1000 BUSSE ROAD)
WHEREAS, P & S Management Company, being the owners of certain property
located at 1000 Busse Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois have requested of
the Village in writing that certain areas within their respective property be
designated as fire lanes, a copy of said request being attached hereto and
incorporated herein as Exhibit "A" of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois.
Section 1: That Section 23.903, Lane Designations, Paragraph "M" of the
Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
M. Holiday Inn, 1000 Busse Road: All areas designated as fire
lanes on a map entitled "Holiday Inn - Elk Grove Village",
which map is hereby incorporated by reference as a part of
Ordinance No. 2114
Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above signs
are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said signs
subject to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of
Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provisions
of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Twenty-five
($25.00) Dollars and no more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each
offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
Ordinance in Pamphlet Form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and published according to law.

Enclosed you will find a letter of request for the establishment of
proposed fire lanes on the Holiday Inn Elk Grove property. Also
attached is a copy of the ground plat, on which I have highlighted
specific areas that both the General Manager, Dan Smith and I feel
should be taken into consideration and be established as fire lanes.
Upon review by you and your staff, please forward your recommendations
to my attention.

REFERENCE: Fire Lanes at 1000 Busse Road
Dear Members of the Village Board:
We, the P & S Management Company, being the owners of certain property
located at 1000 Busse Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, desire
the establishment of Fire Lanes around our building. I, Dan Smith,
being the officer representing the Owner of the property do hereby
authorize and permit the Village of Elk Grove Village to establish
Fire Lanes on the aforementioned property. Said Fire Lanes to be
located and designed on the property as shown on the Plat of Survey
here attached as Exhibit "A".
It is clearly understood that the owner of the property will pay
for the purchase and installation of the signs posting the Fire Lane.
Said signs to be approved by the Village before their installation.
