HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2104 - 5/8/1990 - CLASSIFICATION & SALARY PLAN AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 2104 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4A, POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLANS; SECTIONS 4A.203, THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN; 4A.301, MERIT PAY PLAN MIDPOINT FORMULAE; THE SECOND PARAGRAPH OF 4A.302, MERIT PAY PLAN MIDPOINT RATE; AND 4A.403, STEP PAY PLAN FOR UNIONIZED PERSONNEL OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Chapter 4A, Position Classification and Salary Plan, Sections 4A.203, The Classification Plan; 4A.301, Merit Pay Plan Midpoint Formulae; the second paragraph of 4A.302, Merit Plan Midpoint Rate; and 4A.403, Step Pay Plan for Unionized Personnel; be and the same is hereby amended to read.as follows: 4A.203 The Classification Plan: The Schematic Outline of Occupational Titles, including a class code and quantitative job content value points for each class, together with the class specifications therefore, and the list of Authurized Positions by departments, shall constitute the Classification Plan, three copies of which are on file in the Office of the Village Clerk. All positions in each class shall be compensated in accordance with the Salary Plan as set forth in Article III. 4A.301 Merit Pav Plan Midpoint Formulae: A salary Midpoint Formulae is established for non-labor/trade classes up to 330 job content points, and for classes evaluated above 330 job content points as follows: Class Value Per Point Base Value Non -Labor Trades & Non -Clerical Classses 0-330 points $85.42 $11,047.00 All other Classes above 330 points $25.35 $34,932.00 4A.302 Merit Pay Plan Midpoint Rate: To determine the Midpoint dollar rate of any Merit Salary Range the total job content evaluation points for the respective class is multiplied by the per point value, i.e., $85.42, and the base value dollar amounts, i.e., $11,047.00 is added to the total. 4A.403 Step Pay Plan for Unionized Personnel: In accordance with applicable State and Federal Laws, and as approved by the Village President and Board of Trustees, Police Patrol Officers will be compensated according to the Police Patrol Officers' Step Pay Plan schedule as shown in Appendix "B" of the Labor Agreement covering the period January, 1, 1987 through April 30, 1991 as executed on April 24, 1990. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of May 1, 1990, and upon its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYE: 5 NAY: 0 ABSENT: 1 PASSED this 8th day of May 1990.
