HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2065 - 9/26/1989 - TAX/LATE PAYMENT PENALTYORDINANCE NO. 2065 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.5806, LATE PAYMENT PENALTY, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and OuPage Counties, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 18.5806, Late Payment Penalty, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: If any tax imposed by this Ordinance is not paid when due, a late payment penalty equal to ten (10%) percent plus interest in the amount of one and twenty five hundredths (1.25%) percent of the unpaid tax shall be added for each month, or any portion thereof, that such tax remains unpaid and the total of such late payment penalty shall be paid along with the tax imposed hereby. Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
