AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.25 SPECIAL USES IN ALL
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE
BY ESTABLISHING A HELISTOP FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
AS A SPECIAL USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH HOSPITALS
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law considered the question of amending the Zoning Ordinance
to provide for a helistop affiliated with a hospital and intended
for only emergency medical service as a Special Use in all resi-
dential districts; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation
of said Plan Commission find and believe it to be in the best
interest of the Village to amend the Zoning Ordinance as recom-
mended; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Paragraph A. of Section 5.25 Special Uses
in all Residential Districts be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
A. Non-profit, public or private schools;
churches; libraries; parks; recreational
facilities; municipal buildings; hospitals
and helistops affiliated with hospitals
and intended for only emergency medical
service.
Section 2: That Article IX Definitions is hereby amended
by adding thereto the following:
Helistop - A temporary landing site for helicopters.
The helistop shall not be defined as in-
cluding the providing of service, fuel,
maintenance or storage of helicopters.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
