AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO
ALEXIAN BROTHERS MEDICAL CENTER TO PERMIT A HELISTOP
FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ON THE CAMPUS OF
ALEXIAN BROTHERS MEDICAL CENTER, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village at a public meeting duly called and held according to
law considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit
to Alexian Brothers Medical Center to permit a helistop intended
for emergency medical service pursuant to Section 5.25 of the
Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation
and findings of said Plan Commission find and believe it to
be in the best interest of the Village that said Special Use
Permit be provided subject to the conditions hereinafter set
forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit
pursuant to Section 5.25 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
to Alexian Brothers Medical Center to permit a helistop affiliated
with said Medical Center and intended for only emergency medical
service, said helistop to be located at the campus of Alexian
Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village.
Section 2: That the granting of said Special Use Permit
is subject to the following conditions:
1. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)
approval of the helistop;
2. A flight pattern which minimizes the adverse
effects on property owners;
3. Annual notification by Alexian Brothers
Medical Center to the Village of Elk Grove
Village of IDOT review for recertification
of the helistop;
4. That upon request by the Village, ABMC will
seek recommended changes from IDOT, said
changes to be reviewed by IDOT for safety
considerations; and
5. Adherence to site plan dated February 16, 1988.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
