AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTIES TO THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Elk Grove Village to
annex certain territories legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VII, Division 1, of
the Illinois Municipal Code (Chapter 24, Illinois Revised Statues), a
municipality may annex territory wholly bounded by it by the adoption of
an Ordinance to that effect; and
WHEREAS, said territories are less than sixty (60) acres in size
and are wholly bounded by the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS, appropriate notice of the intended passage of this
Annexation Ordinance has been published in a newspaper of general
circulation within the territories to be annexed more than ten (10) days
proceeding the date hereof, and
WHEREAS, the territories hereinafter described are not within the
corporate limits of any library or fire district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the land and territories shown and legally
described in the attached Exhibits "A", "B", and "C", which Exhibits are
plats of Annexations prepared and certified by Alan J. Boffice, an
Illinois Registered Professional Engineer, No. 062-038094, (pursuant to
Chapter 109, Article 1.02 of the Illinois Revised Statues), which
Exhibits are incorporated herein by reference and made part of this
Ordinance, which lands are totally bounded by the existing Village
limits, and are not within the limits of any municipality, be and is
hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter
those territories shall be included within the boundary lines and limits
of said Village.

Section 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and is hereby directed to record a Certified Copy of this
Ordinance with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

NOTICE OF ANNEXATION
Notice of proposed annexation of territories to the Village of Elk Grove
Village.
Notice is hereby given that the Village of Elk grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, I linois is about to annex the territories herinafter
described pursuant to the provisions of Article VII, Division 1, of the
Illinois Municipal Code (Chapter 24 Illinois Revised Statutes) and that
such annexation will take place not less than ten (10) days after the
publication date of this notice.
The Village board intends to consider the annexation of these territories
at a meeting to be held at the Elk Grove Village Municipal Building, 901
Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois at 8:00 p.m. on September 13,
1988.
