AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE TO PERMIT A FIFTY (50') FOOT HIGH, FOUR (4) STORY
MOTEL ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
ELMHURST ROAD AND LANDMEIER ROAD (WEBS/SCHMITT VENTURES 103, LTD.)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Elk Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held accor-
ding to law considered the question of granting a variation
of Section 5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to maximum
building height in a B-3 Zoned area, for property located at
the Northwest corner of Elmhurst Road and Landmeier Road and
legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation
and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe
that sufficient hardship exists so as to warrant the granting
of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section
5.1 of the Zoning Ordinance, as it pertains to maximum building
height, to Webb/Schmitt Ventures 103, Ltd. and Gregory C. Schmitt
to permit the construction of a four (4) story motel building,
fifty (50') feet in height, on property located on the Northwest
corner of Elmhurst Road and Landmeier Road and legally described
as:
Lot 4 in O'Hare International Center for
Business, being a resubdivision of Higgins -
Elmhurst Subdivision No. 1 and Higgins -
Elmhurst Subdivision No. 2 in the Southeast
Quarter of Section 26, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian, in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
