HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1901 - 7/14/1987 - FIRE LANES DIST 54 SCHOOLSORDINANCE NO. 1901 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES) SECTION 23.903 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY ADDING DESIGNATED FIRE LANES FOR MEAD JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, ADOLPH LINK SCHOOL, AND ADLAI STEVENSON SCHOOL WHEREAS, Marvin J. Lapicola, the Assistant Superintendent of School District 54 has requested of the Village, in writing, that certain areas within their property be designated as fire lanes. A copy of said request being attached hereto and incorporated herein as exhibit "A" of this Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois. Section 1: That Section 23.903, Lane Designations, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village which provides for certain areas located in the Village to be designated "Fire Lanes" and making it unlawful for any person to block or obstruct wholly or partially any such designated area, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: AA. School District 54: All areas designated as Fire Lanes on maps entitled, "Mead Junior High School", "Adolph Link School", and "Adlai Stevenson School", which maps are hereby incorporated by reference as a part of Ordinance No. 1901 Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above signs are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said signs subject to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of Elk Grove Village. Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars and no more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each offense. Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval,.and published according to law. VOTES: AYES: PASSED this APPROVED this ATTEST: Patricia S.
