AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES)
SECTION 23.903 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY ADDING DESIGNATED FIRE LANES FOR
JOHN B. SANFILIPPO & SONS, INC. - 2299 BUSSE ROAD
WHEREAS, the owner of certain property located at 2299 Busse Road,
Elk Grove Village, has requested of the Village by letter the establishment
of fire lanes on said property. A copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1: That Chapter 23, Article IX (Fire Lanes), Section
23.903 Lane Designations, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village which provide for certain areas located in the Village to be
designated "Fire Lane" and making it unlawful for any person to block or
obstruct wholly or partially any such designated area, be and the same is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
Z. 2299 Busse Road, John B. Sanfilippo, &
Sons, Inc. All areas designated as fire
lanes on a map entitled, "J. B. Sanfilippo
Building" which map is incorporated by
reference as a part of Ordinance No. 1902 .
Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above
signs are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said
signs subject to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the
Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any
provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than
Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars no more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars
for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval, and publication according to law.
VOTES: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
