AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV -
WATER RATES OF CHAPTER 22A OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 22A.402 Water Rates.) of Article
IV of Chapter 22A of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk
Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
22A.402 - Water Rates.) All property upon which any
building has been built or may hereafter be erected within the
corporate limits of the Village of Elk Grove Village, except
municipal buildings owned by the Village of Elk Grove Village,
having a connection with any mains or pipes, which are or hereafter
may be constructed and used in connection with the Village water
system, shall pay a basic user rate of $1.88 per 1,000 gallons
of water consumed.
Section 2: That Section 22A.403 Water for Building or
Temporary Purposes.) be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
22A.403 Water for Construction or Temporary Purposes.)
All non -metered water used for construction purposes or temporary
purposes shall be billed at a flat rate of $15.00 per month.
If metered, the rate shall be $2.25 per 1,000 gallons consumed.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized
to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect commencing with the Village's water and sewer billing
of February 27, 1987 which date is subsequent to its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
