AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1791 PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE
BUDGET ACT
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Section 2, of Ordinance No. 1791 be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 2
a. That the Director of Finance shall be
appointed as the Budoet Officer, and
b. That authority shall be delegated to the
Budget Officer to delete, add to, change, or
create sub -classes within object classes
budgeted previously to the departments, boards
or commissions, not to exceed the total approved
annual budget. An increase in the total annual
budget for a department, board or commission,
shall be made only by a vote of two-thirds of
the President and Board of Trustees then holding
office. No revision shall be made increasing the
budget in the event funds are not available to
effectuate the purpose of the revision.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval and shall apply to the
1986/1987 fiscal year beginning May 1, 1986.
