Pavement Manazement
The Committee heard a presentation from the Village's pavement consultant, T. Holderman of
Engineering Enterprises, Inc (EEI). The presentation included a review of the current condition
of the Village's roadway network based on a comprehensive street -by -street pavement condition
study and a review of recommended maintenance strategies.
The presentation ended with EEI's overall recommendations for an annual pavement management
program for the Village, which included: an ongoing maintenance strategy that targets a 15-year
resurfacing cycle for all Village roads; a detailed 5-year roadway resurfacing/preventative
maintenance plan; and the need to re -assess the plan every 5 years through the use of an updated
pavement condition survey.
The Committee expressed support for the recommended program. Mayor Johnson noted that
funding for the program will be discussed at the Committee of the Whole meeting on May 11.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
