HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1811A - 6/10/1986 - WATER RESTRICTIONS AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 1811 A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22A.801, RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF WATER FOR OUTDOOR PURPOSES AND SECTION 22A.802 PENALTY OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of E1k,Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as follows: Section 1. That Section 22A.801, Restrictions on the use of water for outdoor purposes, Paragraphs A and B, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: A. All residential property owners shall be permitted to use water for any outdoor purpose between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. B. All industrial, commercial and institutional property occupants shall be permitted to use water for any out- door purpose between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Section 2. That Section 22A.802, Penalty, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 22A.802 Penalty - Any person, firm or corporation who uses water or consents to the use of water other than as provided for above shall be fined not less than Twenty - Five ($25.00) Dollars nor more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during, or on which a violation occurs or continues. Any person, firm or corporation who shall persist in viola- ting the provisions of this Ordinance after a warning shall be subject to having his or its water service terminated for a period not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours, and payment of Ten ($10.00) Dollars to the Village for re-establishing water service. Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Section 4. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. VOTE: AYES: _5 PASSED this loth APPROVED this 10th ATTEST: Patricia S.
