AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING CERTAIN
PROPERTY FROM THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
(ELK GROVE VILLAGE INDUSTRIAL PARK)
WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village by LaSalle National
Bank as Trustee under Trust Agreements 109812 and 39270,
said Petition seeking disconnection from the Village of
Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said property is within the Corporate Limits
of the Village of Elk Grove Village and contiguous to the
City Limits of the City of Wood Dale; and
WHEREAS, said property consists of less than one
hundred sixty (160) acres in area and is vacant and has
no electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioner is seeking annexation to
the City of Wood Dale subsequent to its disconnection from
the Village of Elk Grove Village pursuant to Illinois Revised
Statutes Chapter 24, Sec. 7-1-24; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village after having reviewed the Petition
for Disconnection are of the opinion that said disconnection
will not have a deleterious effect on the Village of Elk
Grove Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the land and territory legally described
on Exhibit A be and the same is hereby disconnected from
the Village of Elk Grove Village, said disconnection being
subject to the condition that said property be annexed to
the City of Wood Dale.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed
to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance of Disconnection
to the City Clerk of the City of Wood Dale upon the adoption
hereof.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
