AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14.501, PARKING
RULES AND SECTION 14.503, VEHICLES FOR SALE OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage
Counties, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Sec. 14.503, Vehicles for Sale
of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
14.503 Vehicles For Sale) It shall be unlawful
to park any vehicle upon any street for the
purpose of displaying it for sale. It shall
be further unlawful to park any vehicle upon
any private property whereon the general
public is invited to attend and enter for
the purpose of displaying said vehicle for
sale without the express written consent
of the owner of said private property, which
consent must be affixed in a visible location
on said vehicle. Any vehicles parked on
private property whereon the general public
is invited without said consent shall be
presumed to be trespassing and further presumed
to be in violation of this Section.
Section 2: That Sec. 14.501, Parking Rules of
the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a
new paragraph which shall read as follows:
16. On any street for the purpose of peddling
merchandise from said vehicle.
Section 3: Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject
to a fine of not less than twenty-five ($25.00) dollars
nor more than five hundred ($500.00) dollars for each
offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed
on each day during or on which a violation occurs or
continues to exist.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication according to law.
