AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.903 OF ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES) OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY ADDING
DESIGNATED FIRE LANES FOR THE NIEHOFF PAVILION
WHEREAS, Mr. Fred Henning, Director of Communications and Safety for the
Niehoff Pavilion located at 955 Beisner Road, Elk Grove Village, has requested
by letter the establishment of fire lanes on said property. A copy of that
letter being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois.
Section 1: That Section 23.903, Lane Designation, of the Municipal Code
of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following:
Y. Niehoff Pavilion (955 Beisner Road). All areas designated as
fire lanes on a map entitled, "Niehoff Pavilion" which map is
incorporated by reference as part of Ordinance No. 1770
Section 2: That owner or owners of the property where the above signs
are to be located are hereby directed to install and maintain said signs subject
to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of Elk Grove
Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any provisions
of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five ($25.00)
dollars nor more than five -hundred ($500.00) dollars for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication according to law.

Dear Mr. Rittenbacher:
Attached are 3 copies each of 2 plot drawings. One set of plans for
the Main Building and one set for the Niehoff Pavilion.
In view of the fact that it has been a number of years since fire lanes
were originally designated for our property and since a number of physical
changes in the building configuration and roadways have occurred, we felt
it appropriate to submit updated plans which could be used as part of an
amended fire lane ordinance for these properties.
The proposed fire lanes are outlined in yellow and the proposed sign
locations by red dots. I would appreciate your input on this matter
and some type of response relative to any additional information you
require. In addition, we need to know the exact wording, color, size,
height, spacing etc. of the signs to make sure that the ones we have
still comply.
