AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.004 AND SECTION 2.102 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO SALARIES FOR THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 1.004, Bond/Oath/Salary of the Municipal
Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1.004 - Bond/Oath/Salary. Before entering upon the
dyties of his Office, the President shall give
a bond with sureties to be approved by the Board
of Trustees conditioned upon his faithful per-
formance of duties, in the sum of Three Thousand
($3,000.00) Dollars. He shall take the oath of
office as prescribed by statute and shall receive
as compensation the sum of Six Thousand ($6,000.00)
Dollars per year, payable in twelve (12) equal
monthly installments, said rate of compensation
to apply to the term of office commencing on or
after May 1, 1985.
Section 2: That Section 2.102, Oath/Salary of the Municipal Code
pertaining to the office of trustee be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Section 2.102 - Oath/Salary. Members of the Board of Trustees shall
take the oath of office as prescribed by statute and
shall receive as -compensation the sum of Two Thousand
One Hundred ($2,100.00) Dollars per year, payable in
twelve (12) equal monthly installments, said rate
of compensation to apply to all terms of office
which commence on or after May 1, 1985.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 25th day of September 1984.
