AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XII COMMUNITY
SERVICE BOARD OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE BY
INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS TO TWELVE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Sec. 7.1201 of Article XII, Community
Service Board of Chapter 7 of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
7.1201 There is hereby established a Community
Service Board consisting of twelve members,
one of whom shall be a Village Trustee, and
each of whom shall be appointed by the
Village President with the consent of the
Board of Trustees, for a term of four years
or such lesser period of time in order that
all appointments terminate on April 30, 1985
and every four years thereafter.
March 1st of each year said Board shall meet
and elect a chairman and secretary who shall
serve as such until the last day of February
of the next succeeding year. No person shall
be appointed to said Board unless he has
demonstrated a sustained interest in community
service or has had professional training in
said field or a related field. Members of said
Board need not be residents of the Village.
No member shall receive compensation for any
service performed. Said Board shall appoint such
committees as it may deem necessary.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
