AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR
FIREFIGHTERS WHO HAVE ATTAINED THE STATUS OF CERTIFIED
PARAMEDICS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1. That any firefighter of the Village of Elk Grove
Village who has successfully completed paramedic training and has
received paramedic certification from the Department of Health of
the State of Illinois shall receive, as additional compensation,
the sum of One Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars ($125.00) per month.
Each firefighter so certified shall be entitled to said additional
compensation while an active member in good standing with the Elk
Grove Village Fire Department as long as said certification remains
in full force and effect.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
as of May 1, 1984, and upon its passage and approval according to law.
