AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1547, BUILDING
ACTIVITIES, CHAPTER 13, SECTION 13.302, FIRE PROTEC-
TION SYSTEMS, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section I: That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village Chapter 13, Section 13.302, Fire Protections Systems, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
13.302 FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS:
Section 17.02.2 Delete Exception
Add Section 1702.8.1:
1702.8.1 - Use Groups R-1: In all buildings
or structures of use groups R-1:
1. When of more than two stories
in height;
2. When more than 50 habitable
rooms are located above the
first floor.
1702.12 - Storage and workshop areas: Amended
to read as follows:
In all portions of Use Group A, B, I
and R-2 occupied for storage, work-
shop or similar purpose. Exceptions:
2 (To be retained as is.)
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions
of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Ten ($10.00)
Dollars nor more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each offense, and
a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day, commencing from
date of official notification, during or on which a violation or failure
to comply occurs or continues.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
